Burgess Hill Cricket Club is situated in the heart of Burgess Hill, Mid-Sussex. We are Clubmark accredited by the ECB who, along with the Sussex Cricket Board, have designated us Focus Club status. We run five sides on a Saturday with all teams playing in the Sussex County League. We have two women’s teams who play in the Sussex Women’s Premier League, with their games taking place on Sunday afternoons. And a women’s softball team who play competitive and friendly games against other Sussex clubs.

Our club is one of the leading clubs in Sussex, playing fixtures in the picturesque St John’s Park close to the centre of Burgess Hill. Burgess Hill Cricket Club are proud to have been appointed by Sussex County Cricket Club Foundation and the ECB as a Focus Club for this area of the county. Burgess Hill Cricket Club has achieved ECB Clubmark accreditation which confirms our commitment to a safe, child friendly junior section.

Adult Cricket
Since 2008, the club has competed in The 1st Central Sussex Cricket League. Our 1st XI, having achieved its highest ever position last season, will again be playing in Division 2 which is the second tier of the League. Our 2nd, 3rd XIs, both having gained two promotions in two years, and 4th XI are in Divisions 4W, 8C & 11C respectively.
This season we will have a 5th XI playing in Division 12C. The 2024 season also saw the expansion of the Sussex Women’s League to include a second division, in which our Women’s 2nd XI will compete. Burgess Hill are very proud to be one of the six clubs participating in the Premier Division and are looking to improve upon their third place finish last season.
Youth Cricket
ECB Clubmark accredited with Sussex CCC Focus Club status, the club has a strong and vibrant colts’ Academy, with boys teams in the SAYCL Youth League (U’8, U’9, U’10, U’11, U’12, U’13, U’14, U15, U16) and girls teams at all age groups, U11, U12, U13, U15 & U17 age groups.
Our Youth teams participate in the Sussex Cricket Festival, which takes place in August, and the Lady Taverner’s tournaments. They also play friendly matches whenever possible.
